- Ongoing follow-up of designated markets / regions to identify risks linked to geopolitics and sustainability.

To visualize qualitative and quantitative risk assessments we have developed the Consilio Beyond Intent Index (CBI). CBI focuses on discovering and analyzing risks for companies and is tailormade. The index takes into consideration company specific and market relevant categories and subcategories. The risk index provides essential input for strategic decision making and has been used;

- To provide clear presentation of risks. The index is designed to give comprehensive analyses and a balanced country risk valuation.

To monitor risks over time and discover trends. Trend analyses provide comparative insights. Trends are spotted early on and deliver forward-looking valuations.

To compare risks on different markets. The CBI packs comparative possibilities where risks in different countries can be compared.

By large multinational corporations, assessing production, sourcing, and trade routes to oversee risks and opportunities in specific countries and regions.

The assessment is a combination of quantitative data based on statistics from well-known sources such as the World Bank, Harvard University, IMF, Transparency International etc. and qualitative analyses from Consilio and Beyond Intent.

For example, the index is usually comprised of four categories, political risk, sustainability risk, macroeconomic risk, and relational risk. Several relevant quantitative indexes together with qualitative analysis will deliver an exhaustive view of potential risks related to one country, or region, from the perspective of the client. The CBI index can then be used to assess whether the risk of a potential market outweighs the benefit when making strategic decisions.

Moreover, the CBI also comes with in-depth qualitative analysis of each country or region, creating possibilities for a deeper understanding of the market in question, in specific relation to the client’s business interests.

Every rendition of CBI is tailormade to each company’s needs and interests, making it a suitable tool when expanding into new markets, deciding whether to exit a market or foresee potential risks before they become a problem.
