With a background in Swedish industry and international development cooperation, credits and businesses development – our partners can provide a strong analytic and comparative perspective on sustainability in organisational life. The founders of BI all have backgrounds from working in developing countries. They have worked both in the development- and business communities, which combined gives the company a unique edge in assessing operations and risks in foreign contexts.

  • Erica Molin is skilled in the art of engaging an audience. With energy, a positive outlook and the ability to highlight opportunities and achieve results in the most difficult settings she will face any challenge ahead. Erica has worked with businesses and complex markets as the CEO of Näringslivets Internationella Råd (NIR). Her background is in international law, and she has headed the Swedish Refugee Law Center. By combining persistence and responsive commitment with sharp analyses and leadership, Erica will see opportunities where others see obstacles. During her career she has been all around the world. Having had strategic responsibility for longstanding business projects in more than 20 countries, traveling light around Latin America, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Asia is a breeze.

    Not one for the sedentary lifestyle, Erica is involved in several local sustainable development networks and forums in Stockholm. A social butterfly with a widespread network, she usually spends her free time with family and friends in Stockholm and on the shore of Siljan or consuming a variety of books, keeping her informed on daily events.

  • Martin Schmidt is a likeable economist with a Master in International Relations and a background in development cooperation. He has experience from working in close to 50 developing countries. Since co-founding Beyond Intent in 2014, he has been engaged in geopolitical and geo-economic risk assessments for companies and organisations with large engagements or rapid expansion on foreign markets. He has also worked with large and medium sized companies on sustainability- and business development.

    In development cooperation, since as far back as 1996 Martin has been active in aid evaluation and planning. He has worked as an evaluator and advisor to Swedish embassies, joint donor groups, development banks, UN agencies, partner governments and non-governmental organisations in Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. He is an engaging and experienced writer, speaker and round-table facilitator.

    A father of three, Martin keeps busy with children's sports, books, cultural life, travel, the Stockholm archipelago and downhill skiing. Loves squash, sailboats and board games.

  • Louise Lundberg is a doer, with previous experience from both big and small organizations. She has a master’s degree in sustainable development from Uppsala University, with a focus on social sustainability and SRHR. Louise has worked with administration and program development and enjoys being at the heart of Beyond Intent’s business. Mostly involved in internal operations, she supports her colleagues with coordination and administration. She is excellent at spotting potential collaborations and areas of development. Her previous experience includes an internship at the NGO Right Livelihood, where she was involved in program planning and execution as well as supporting activists all over the world.

    In her free time, Louise enjoys spending time with friends and family in the Stockholm archipelago. Her biggest interest is cooking food and trying our new recipes from all around the world, sometimes failing but always with enthusiasm. She is also an amateur runner and interested in American domestic politics.

  • Johan Genneby is a changemaker currently working in the Social Impact team within Global Sustainability at H&M Group. He is passionate about global development, sustainability, risk management, conflict management and has regularly been tempted to settle in or travel to places that are not the most obvious tourist destinations. Among these, Nairobi, Kenya, from where he launched BI's operations in East Africa. In previous assignments in business, government, the EU and the non-profit sector, Johan has often left his mark by initiating new collaborations and creating new platforms between actors and stakeholders with different activities and perspectives. He is at home in most environments and his broad experience has made him a warm friend of goal focus and strategy to drive change. He knows the art of combining his experiences for value creation for companies and society in his work with companies' international and sustainability operations.

    Johan likes to spend his time with his friends and family, skiing fast, conquering mountains and enjoying the Åland archipelago.

  • Linda El-Naggar, COO of Consilio International, has a broad analytical background, with a special interest in North Africa and the wider Mediterranean region. She has previously held roles within analysis and project management at Consilio International and the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI). Linda remains associated to the institute’s Middle East and North Africa Programme. In addition, she has conducted an internship at the Swedish Embassy in Algeria. Linda holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Gothenburg and a master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Lund University.  She speaks Swedish, English, French and Arabic.

  • Carl Cederström is an analyst at heart. With an interest and a master’s degree in international relations and economics, his career has been built upon analyzing the world in different ways and capacities. Starting out at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he focused on the Middle East and Northen Africa, specifically Iraq, Iran and the Gulf. He later worked with the liberal party surveying tax issues and preparing support for members of parliament. Further utilizing his knowledge of Northern Africa and the Middle East, he has also worked with sustainable capital investment and analysis of geopolitical economy at several companies.

    Beside his international relations career, Carl also runs Cederströms – a company cooking delicious dessert complements such as chocolate sauce. When he has time off, he enjoys spending time at his summer house, delving into a good book and playing tennis.

  • Andreas von der Heide, CEO of Consilio International, has more than two decades of experience from the upper echelons of Swedish industry and has devoted much of his professional life to supporting Swedish Industry in geopolitically complex markets. He spent 11 years with the International Council of Swedish Industry (NIR), including three years as the Council’s CEO. In addition, Andreas has served as Senior Vice President for the defense and aviation group Saab AB, responsible for the group’s offset, counter trade and industrial cooperation. Andreas founded Consilio International together with Erik Belfrage, Jan Nygren and Michael Sahlin in 2011 and has worked as Consilio’s Managing Partner and CEO since then.

  • Amanda Netscher is strategic and deeply motivated to create positive change in several areas. Day-to-day she can be found at Länsstyrelsen. With a warm hand and the ability to see what is possible for your organization or business, she will make it happen. Amanda has worked with social sustainability as a social investigator at different agencies across fields, violence prevention, pandemic law and integration are examples. Her background is in sociology, and she is also the Chairperson of the HIV organization Noaks Ark. Throughout her career she has been successful in bringing organizations up to the next level. Amanda has furthermore been involved in several NGOs, such as Ecpat and UN Women. As a result of her diverse duties and natural social skills she has developed a broad network.

    Amanda enjoys spending her free time with her large family and friends in Stockholm and in the countryside of Skåne. Whenever possible, she spends hours in the kitchen, perfecting whatever culinary innovation she has her mind set on that week.

    Amanda is a force of nature and a bliss to work with.

  • Josephine Sundqvist is the Global CEO and Secretary-General at LM International (Läkarmissionen) and has a strong ambition to change the world through leadership development and digital transformation. She has ample experience focusing on global health and the 2030 Agenda. Previously, she has worked as a senior strategic advisor at Sida’s department for Asia, Middle East and Humanitarian assistance and has a PhD from Uppsala University focusing on public private partnerships in the health sector. Her work has taken her across the globe, with an extra focus on eastern Africa. Her passionate presence in the Swedish aid sector has gained her awards and recognition, showcasing her commitment to her ambition.

  • Jonas has worked with evaluations, strategy, capacity building, research, statistics and associated analysis for more than 10 years and has an academic background in Political Science and Economics. He has mainly worked within the fields of private sector development and international development assistance. Currently he is primarily engaged in data science services with bearing on data driven approaches for collection, analysis and presentation of data. Jonas is experienced with different techniques and tools for data collection and analysis, which includes techniques for case studies, electronic survey systems, web crawling, network analysis, text analysis/mining and data storage/retrieval (SQL). Jonas is also experienced in launching and managing fully and/or semi-fully data-driven analytical IT-based systems that facilitates and drastically reduces time for data processing.

  • Gustav has worked as an economics researcher for the past 7 years. His research has mainly focused on areas related to the economics of climate change, tipping points, development and urban economics. He has co-authored 15+ articles published in top level academic journals including Science and Nature. Currently he is engaged in data science services with a focus on data analysis, statistics and natural language processing. Gustav has experience with a wide variety of approaches for data collection and analysis. Apart from a high degree of knowledge in mathematics, statistics and inferential techniques his expertise covers areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, web-crawling, network analysis and web development. He thrives on open source solutions and the potential for automation off mundane processes using present state of the art technology.

  • Andreas Zetterlund is the Global COO at LM International (Läkarmissionen) as well as CEO and Founder of ALFAZULU Social Enterprise Group and is dedicated towards creating a better world through sustainable impact and innovative approaches. He has a long experience working in the development sector, focusing in the areas of WASH (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene), inclusive education and emergency response. His experience as a key account manager for grants from both institutional and private sector donors is longstanding, and as a business owner on the side of his main job he focuses on social entrepreneurship and sustainable innovations. His geographical focus and experience are mainly in eastern Africa.
