A new version of ASSET for the Swedish union “Unionen” has been launched. The assessment and education tool has been updated to include climate and children’s rights aspects. This new version is part of Unionen’s initiative to highlight and develop the trade union’s ability to support improvements in social and environmental sustainability among companies - including labour rights, human rights, climate and children’s rights aspects.

Unionen is Sweden’s largest trade union on the private labour market and the largest white-collar trade union in the world with 675 000 members, of which 30 000 are elected representatives, in over 86 000 companies and organisations.

Beyond Intent has supported Unionen’s work for responsible business since 2018, and developed an adapted version of BI Sustainability Assessment and Evaluation Tool (ASSET) to improve knowledge and awareness among Unionen’s members.
